This self-report screening tool attempts to translate ICD-10 diagnostic criteria for personality disorders, into first person statements, that you should either tick (if you believe it describes you and your lifestyle), or tick the last option which under each set of questions (i.e. "nothing of the above applies to me...").

Please do not use this online-screening as a diagnostic tool of any kind. If you have any concerns, contact a specialist.

What is a Personality Disorder?:

Personality disorder is a type of mental disorder that has its roots in a person's personality and character. These personality traits should be a permanent and stable pattern of behavior and self-perception (in terms of emotions, thoughts, etc.), which should lead to serious problems in various areas of life (for example, social, work, family, legal, financial, educational, etc.) OR should cause serious distress to the sufferer of the disorder and/or to others. As a rule, Personality Disorder begins to manifest itself already in early adolescence or even in childhood/late childhood. However, an official diagnosis of a Personality Disorder can only be made after the age of 18, although many doctors prefer to wait until the patient reaches the age of 25. Although it is worth noting that for patients of late adolescence, the term "Emerging Personality Disorder" or "Traits of [name of personality disorder] Personality Disorder" may be established.
