Introduction
This is a sample test for the Oxford Test of English for Schools. It provides an overview of the
four test modules: Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing. It also provides sample tasks
for each module.
The Oxford Test of English for Schools is a general English proficiency test. It reports at B2,
B1, and A2 levels of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR).
The test is delivered online in any module combination. The level of each Listening and
Reading question presented to the test taker is selected by an adaptive algorithm based
on whether the test taker answered the previous question successfully. This means the
majority of questions are pitched at the approximate ability of the test taker.
